Invisalign Leeds

Invisalign Leeds: Invisalign is the most commonly used and trusted system for using clear aligners to straighten teeth. To date, over 6 million patients have straightened their teeth with Invisalign worldwide, and Montreal Dental Care is proud to be providing this revolutionary treatment for our patients in Leeds.

The longevity of Invisalign is a testament of its popularity in straightening teeth. Teeth are straightened, and smiles transformed using clear aligners that are hardly noticeable.
Invisalign uses the latest in dental technology to provide braces that are custom made to your teeth which have the ability to resolve a host of dental problems. These include misaligned teeth, gapped or crowded teeth.

Invisalign Leeds : Benefits

  • Clear Aligners
Invisalign treatment allows you to straighten your teeth without the traditional unsightly “train track” fixed braces. With the use of almost invisible clear aligners, you can go about straightening your teeth without anyone noticing. No need to feel self-conscious about smiling, talking and socialising during treatment.
  • Removable Aligners
Easily remove the aligners before eating and drinking so you can eat without the hassle of food sticking on the metal wires. With removable aligners, it’s also easier to maintain excellent hygiene. No need to get fancy toothbrushes that brush around the metal wires. Brushing and flossing of teeth can be carried out normally.
  • See the results
Virtual technology can be used to show you what the expected result would look like after completing treatment. This will give you the confidence of starting treatment with the knowledge of what the end result will be.
  • Fewer Appointments

Traditional metal wires need to be tightened every 4-6 weeks. With Invisalign, you can get given multiple aligners at the same time, with each lasting two weeks. Changing the aligners does not require the assistance of your dentist, meaning fewer visits to the dentist over the course of the treatment.

  • Comfortable Treatment
Invisalign treatment is simple, easy and comfortable. Your mouth will quickly get used to wearing the aligners, so much so that patients often forget they’re wearing them. Unlike traditional metal braces, there’s no risk of wires and brackets poking on your gums, lips and cheeks causing cuts or ulcers. Some mild discomfort is normal in the first few days after wearing a new aligner

Invisalign Leeds : Treatment Process

Your treatment will begin with a dental examination and an orthodontic consultation to ensure that you are the right candidate for Invisalign treatment.

A dental and medical history will be taken.
Based on your needs, the dentist will then formulate a treatment plan to achieve your desired result if suitable.

The first step in straightening your teeth with Invisalign is to take photographs. These are sent to an Invisalign assessor who will determine if you’re suitable for Invisalign treatment.

The second appointment will involve taking dental impressions of your teeth. From these impressions, Invisalign software is able to accurately show the type of malocclusion your teeth have and the potential end result after Invisalign treatment is completed.

At this point, if you’re happy with treatment and the expected results, then treatment can continue and the clear aligners are made with precision cutting edge technology.

Over the course of the treatment, a series of customised aligners are made. These aligners are a snug fit for your teeth, resulting in steady movement that straighten your teeth gradually until the perfect smile is achieved.

The aligners are then changed typically every 10-14 days. As you replace each aligner with the next in the series, your teeth will move little by little, week by week until the we reach the desired position for your teeth.

Your dentist will review your progress every 4-6 weeks to ensure everything is on track and to make any corrections if necessary.

It is important to understand that when teeth are being moved with either traditional braces or Invisalign aligners, it is both the visible tooth above the gum and the root under the gum that are being moved. It is the normal pattern of teeth movement and happens with normal braces as well. This extra movement is temporary and passes after a few days.
